To be admitted to a degree program, students must meet the below requirements and need to follow the steps outlined below to provide evidence of such eligibility.

Here's what you need to do!

An orientation course must be completed before an admitted student can enroll in the first course of the program. Prospective students may apply at any time during the year, and if accepted, may begin in any term during the year of acceptance or the following year.

Master’s Degrees Admission Requirements

Admissions requirements for the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Education programs:

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • International applicants must hold a degree recognized as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
  • Submit an updated resume.
  • Submit a personal statement that describes the applicant’s professional accomplishments and goals.
  • Copy of valid government issued ID.
  • Students applying for the graduate program must also submit their official transcripts from their undergraduate.
  • Have achieved a minimum undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Applicants must select a language track. UTE offers two (2) language tracks: All courses are offered in English and Spanish. If an applicant qualifies in both English and Spanish, they may select in which language they want to take the program.

Doctorate Degrees Admission Requirements

Admissions requirements for the Doctor of Business Administration and the Doctor of Science in Education program:

  • Applicants must hold a master’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • International applicants must hold a degree recognized as equivalent to a U.S. master’s degree.
  • Submit an updated resume.
  • Submit a personal statement that describes the applicant’s professional accomplishments and goals.

  • Have achieved a minimum undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.0 cumulative GPA.

English language track requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English, but who want to select the English track must submit one (1) of the following proofs of English proficiency.

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Score of 500 or better on the written exam or score.
  • Score at least 173 on computerized test; or equivalent, or
  • Has completed at least six(6) credits hours of English composition (passing grade of C or better) from an accredited U.S colleges or University, or
  • Completion of an A.A. or A.S. degree from a U.S. college or university, or equivalent.

Spanish language track requirements

Applicants who graduated from a high school or university in a country where the official language is not English must comply with the following:

  • All diplomas, titles or official transcripts from schools, colleges or universities must be translated into English, and evaluated and equated according to the standards established in the United States for these procedures.
  • The applicant must provide all the necessary documentation to the evaluation agency for its due processing and compliance with the evaluation and equivalence process.
  • The applicant is responsible for all costs of this evaluation and equivalency.
  • All evaluations and equivalencies must be in the registrar’s office within a period not exceeding 60 days after the applicant has started the program.
