Semester I

10 Credits

Theoretically and epistemologically base the research problem, its structure and purpose on the relevance, meaning and validity of the research process. Present research problems logically and coherently within the framework of the educational context and its problems, from the orientation of the different research paradigms.

3 Credits

Analyze the paradigms of scientific research that allow an approach to reality, such as positivism, historical- hermeneutic and critical-social. Base the research project from a paradigm that coherently allows to respond to the approaches and objectives of the proposal in the development of new knowledge.

2 Credits

Recognize the historical transits of pedagogy and didactics as a consequence of various positions and curricular commitments that permeate school environments.

3 Credits

Examine and analyze the process of profound transformations experienced by contemporary society through its main philosophical and epistemic interpretations and, from this perspective, analyze the relationship between the processes of deconfiguration of the modern conception of education at a theoretical and political level.

Semester II

10 Credits

Build the background of the investigation that allows to demonstrate through an analysis the different findings that have been found in previous studies, taking into account the study variables. Implement effective background search strategies in various specialized databases and institutional repositories and the organization of information in matrices.

3 Credits

Implement and substantiate the qualitative, quantitative and mixed research designs to create a methodological design that supports the proposed research proposal.

Review and support the theoretical references of trends, an approach and a pedagogical current from a perspective based on epistemic principles and pedagogical models.

Examine and analyze the process of profound transformations experienced by contemporary society through its main theoretical interpretations and based on them, evaluate the political processes, educational management and analytical orders of this subject.

Semester III

10 Credits

Build and support the theoretical and epistemological references of the research within the framework of the problem statement, its categories and the discussion that will give theoretical support with the results achieved. Implement effective search strategies and construction of theoretical and epistemological references in various specialized sources of information.

Carry out a documentary review on the line of emphasis in didactics that allows knowing the current state of its theoretical construct from the contributions of the investigation.

Analyze the historical-cultural mobility of general didactics and specific didactics to support didactic proposals within the framework of needs and challenges in teaching-learning processes.

Place the student in the current educational debate, in its traditions, essential issues, political- administrative approaches and analytical paradigms, which have guided educational policies and management.

Semester IV

10 Credits

Build and sustain the methodological references that support the methodological design of the research project. Implement effective search strategies for theoretical references for methodological design in various specialized databases.

Carry out a documentary review on the line of emphasis on evaluation and learning results that allows knowing the current state of its theoretical construct from various research contributions.

Analyze and understand the historical processes that have influenced the discussions and reflections on the curriculum and curricular designs.

Analyze the possibilities, competences and relevance that educational institutions and subjects have for the development of educational policies and the approach of autonomous management that enhances the quality of education.

Semester V

10 Credits

Build and validate data collection instruments and their proper application in the research intervention. Apply the instruments and techniques for collecting information and the development of processes for its registration, organization and analysis. Generate information analysis processes in a systematic, rigorous and ethical manner that allows the socialization of new knowledge through articles, internships and academic events.

Carry out a state of the art of current trends and models in teacher training, as well as the implications of these in teaching practice and in the integral development of students.

Design didactic strategies energized by the STEAM approach and learning styles for various educational levels.

Understand the state of the art in the thematic fields of educational policies in contemporary management, from its debates, studies and emerging themes from the exploration of students.

Semester VI

12 Credits

The research internship is developed as part of the prerequisites for supporting the doctoral thesis project. It is specifically scheduled in the fifth semester of the program and constitutes a mandatory requirement to access the academic research space in said semester.

Prepare a final report of the research project that meets the standards of structure, coherence and clarity required in the academic and research field. Support the results and conclusions of your research project with high standards of research quality through an oral presentation and thesis defense.

Generate a state of the art on pedagogical experiences and research processes that have addressed learning styles in the educational context.

Design virtual learning environments taking into account instructional design processes that stimulate teaching-learning processes.

Analyze, reflect and project from the present what challenges may arise in educational policies and management, from a liquid and constantly changing context.

The University is located at 2010 NW 150 Ave, Suite 213, Pembroke Pines FL 33028. The administrative office is comprised of 777 sq ft, which includes 4 administrative offices. This space is occupied by on-site Florida staff personnel who maintain the office and student records for all UTE students and personnel. UTE provides its instruction solely through distance education methods.

A credit hour is typically defined by one hour per week of in class instruction, plus another two hours of study outside of class. A credit hour consists of a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of instruction, plus a reasonable period of time outside of instruction which the institution requires a student to devote to preparation for learning experiences, such as preparation for instruction, study of course material, or completion of educational projects.

UTE will not accept transfer of credits from another program from another post-secondary institution. Students will enroll from the beginning of a course or program.

The transferability of credits you earn at UTE is at the complete discretion of an institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the credits you earn in the educational program from UTE is also at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. If the credits that you earn at this institution are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution. For this reason, you should make certain that your attendance at this institution will meet your educational goals.
